Sangeeta Bijlani and Mohammad Azharuddin

Sangeeta was earlier romantically linked to a number of co-stars and directors. She was the reason Salman Khan broke off with his girlfriend, Shaheen - only to later ditch Sangeeta for Somy Ali.

Sangeeta met the soft-spoken and dashing Hyderabad-based cricketer, Mohammed Azharuddin after completing Nirbhay in 1996. The two met at a commercial shoot and then saw more of each other at various other social dos. Azaruddin fell in love with her so much, that he divorced his wife, Nasreen and married Sangeeta. Her Islamic name is Ayesha Azhar, and she has two step-sons from Azhar's previous marriage. They have been together since then withstanding all tough times especially when Azharuddin’s name was involved in the match fixing scams. The have started an organization called ‘Azhar Sangeeta Management Services.’
