Best Beach in GOA ---- Calangute Beach

Calangute is a census town in North Goa in the state of Goa, India. It is famous for its beach, visited by domestic and international tourists alike. The peak tourist season is during Christmas and New Year, and during the summer in May. In the monsoon season, June through September, the sea can be rough, and swimming is prohibited.

To the north lies Baga, and south Candolim. To the east lies Saligao, and the arabian sea lashes its waves along the west. Calangute remains warm through the year with little temperature fluctuations. Calangute is 10 km from Mapusa City, & 18 km from Panjim the capital of Goa, Languages spoken include Kannada, Konkani, Marathi and English. The town is popular due to water sports, which are offered on the beaches of Calangute.
The word CALANGUTE which has become kolngutt or korgott, is derivedf rom KOLI-GUTT, (or Gudi), which originally meant land inhabited by fisherfolk. It must have become Kolyiangutti, kalangutti, kolngutt, kongott With the advent of the Portuguese, the word probably got distorted to Calangute, and has stuck till today. The name Koli may be connected with the goddess kali, worshipped by the fisher folk. there was a temple in the area of MOTTH. Another possibility is that it comes from KALYAN-GUTTI, which means a village of art, a beautiful village. this is quite a plausible derivation. a third derivation is from konvallo-ghott. which means the coconut was good (strong pith), since coconut trees are believed to possess strong pith which is the "marrow" or soft substance in the center of the plant.

BMW Grand Turismo

Aimed at niche customers in a market sector not yet in being, the new 5 Series variant is a mix of some of the desirable elements that a saloon, estate or SUV can offer: elegance inside and out from a luxury BMW saloon; long legroom and huge load capacity from using the 7 Series platform; limousine ride comfort but with near 5 Series agility (it adopts the 7 Series adjustable rear air suspension); and the command seating positions, versatile sliding and folding rear seats and twin tailgate openings from the X5. The GT has boot space of 440 litres which can be expanded, by folding down the rear seats, to a very accommodating 1,700 litres.

The BMW 5 Series Grand Turismo, or Grand Tourer, by name and by nature, offers unbeatable space, specification and performance and it is also unbeatable because it is arguably the only car of this type on sale.

Trying to describe what the 5 Series Grand Turismo is not easy. It is aimed at a niche customer, a market sector not yet in being so only around 2,500 of these new models will be sold in the UK in a full year. The product is a mix of some of the desirable elements a saloon, estate or SUV can offer.Elegance inside and out from a luxury BMW saloon, long legroom and huge load capacity from using the 7 Series platform, limousine ride comfort but with near 5 Series agility although it adopts the 7 Series adjustable rear air suspension and the command seating positions, versatile sliding and folding rear seats and twin tailgate openings from the X5.

The GT has boot space of 440-litres which can be enhanced, by folding the rear seats down, up to 1,700-litres.Bringing luxury and versatility together in one product, that isn’t an out-and-out high-range 4x4’ is not an easy task but the unique BMW Grand Turismo is an interesting product.

5 Series GT engines
There are three engine options for the GT, the main selling 530d, 3.0-litre, six cylinder common-rail direct injection turbocharged diesel which will take 85% of sales. It produces 245hp with a massive 540Nm of torque and accelerates from zero to 62mph in 6.9 seconds before going on to a top speed of 149mph.

The combined cycle official; fuel economy is 43.5mpg and we achieved a real-life 27.5mpg during some very hard and fast driving on the wind

Like the other two engine options this unit is only available with BMW’s new fuel efficient eight-speed automatic transmission but with its tiptronic type sequential gear change function it works really well either in full auto mode or by using the manual override.

There are two petrol engines on offer, the 535i a new 3.0-litre six cylinder turbocharged powerplant with 306hp, 400Nm of torque 0-62mph takes 6.3 seconds and top speed is limited to 155mph. Average fuel economy is officially 31.7mpg but somehow we only achieved 19.3mpg during our test drive.

Working the petrol engine harder to achieve the same response as offered by the better 3.0-litre diesel unit took its toll on fuel economy. The emissions are 209g/km.The last engine option for those which must have the largest and most powerful on offer is the 550i, a 4.4-litre, V8 with twin turbochargers. Zero to 62mph takes 5.5 seconds, top speed is limited to 155mph with 25.2mpg being the officially combined cycle figure and 263g/km

Karthik Calling Karthik review

After a long time, finally you will get some different taste of Indian Typical common movie theme with Karthik Calling Karthik. The revised version of Amol Palekar Choti Si Baat with some extra masala mixed.

Before going any further deep, have a preview on big starcast of the movie.
Cast: Farhan Akhtar, Deepika Padukone, Ram Kapoor, Shefali Shah
Director: Vijay Lalwani
Genre: Comedy, Thriller, Romance
Rating – 3 and half star.
Reviews – Karthik ( Farhan) is an introvert person and his life goes unnoticed even by his office colleagues and specially her dreamgirl Deepika whom he has written many unsent drafts of love.
His life just changed with a phone call of a person named same karthik. This is from where movie gets his name. Because all of a sudden karthik achieves everything that he wants.

After the revelation of original Karthik who wants him to be mean again send back to his misery and how from that point a rise of phoenix takes place is the base of the story.
With his Super hit movie Rock On followed by a average Luck by Chance and then KCK, Farhan is gently pushing himself in true actor category. Acting wise he is brilliant. About Padukone, leave everything upon her and you will get worst, Unlike her acting in Love Aajkal, here Director Vivek Lalwani has induced her best acting part ( including glamour) in the movie.

Screenplay lacking grace, editing could have been more artistic. Storyline different from current trend and finally song Uff Teri Ada by ALyssa Mendonsa ( daughter of Loy) is already a hit among youths.
A good, entertaining, comedy thriller which will be pleasant to watch and this is Karthik Calling Karthik ( kartik Calling Kartik)

Palika Bazaar

Palika Bazaar is an underground, air-conditioned market located below the inner circle of Connaught Place, New_Delhi. It hosts several hundred shops selling a diverse range of items; however, the market is dominated by electronic items and clothing.

Palika Bazaar attracts many foreign tourists. It is known as a place with a very low level of prices. Bargain as much as you can & get the lowest prices.

Palika Bazaar hosts 390 numbered shops selling a diverse range of items; however, the market is dominated by electronic items and clothing. Palika Bazaar was set up in the late 1970s, but since the 1980s it has seen a decline in customers, in part due to the opening of several new, modern shopping malls all over Delhi.
Palika Bazaar is estimated to have some 15.000 people within its confines at any given time and also attracts many foreign tourists. It is known as a place with a very low level of prices. It does, however, also have a reputation for a wide availability of illegal products such as pornography, stolen goods, fake designer products and pirated CDs, software and movies. Police conducts regular raids to recover stolen or pirated merchandise, but this has failed to put an end to the illegal activity in the market.

As part of a wider effort to prepare Delhi for hosting the 2010 Commonwealth Games the New Delhi Municipal Council is currently working on plans for a major "regeneration of Palika Bazaar", described to be in a state of decay.

MOSSAD

The Mossad is the national intelligence agency of Israel. "Mossad" is the Hebrew word for institute or institution.

"Where no stratagem is, the people fall; but in the multitude of counsellors there is salvation." (Proverbs 11:14)

Seal of The Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations. Formed in December 13, 1949 as the Central Institute for Coordination.

The Mossad is responsible for intelligence collection and covert operations including paramilitary activities. It is one of the main entities in the Israeli Intelligence Community, along with Aman (military intelligence) and Shin Bet (internal security), but its director reports directly to the Prime Minister.

The "Mossad Le'aliyah Bet" was a small, unorthodox Zionist organization whose mission in 1938 was to bring Jews to the British mandate of Palestine. This was done to subvert the British quotas on Jewish immigration. The Mossad's modes of operation, its ideology, and politics resulted in the creation of the intelligence agency for the Israeli government once it was established in 1948. The agency consisted of several of the existing members who had worked to establish Israel as a Jewish state.

Some people suspect the Mossad of orchestrating the assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, a senior Hamas military commander in January 2010. A team thought to consist of 11 agents, travelling on fake passports, entered al-Mabhouh's hotel room. Mabhouh was allegedly electrocuted and interrogated for information, and then his veins were injected with poison, then the door to his room locked from the outside. Burns were found under his ears, on his legs, in his groin and on his chest.Although Hamas has declared Israel responsible for the assassination, no evidence linking Mossad to the activity has been found. Some commentators have pointed out that, based on the available evidence, the assassination is just as likely to have been a false flag operation. The passports used included 6 British, clones of real British nationals living in Israel and 3 forged Irish identities. False French and German passports were also used.

West Bank's 'Avatar'

The conflict in the Middle East took on an especially cinematic quality Friday, when activists representing a small Palestinian village dressed up like the oppressed aliens from the blockbuster movie "Avatar" before staging a demonstration in front of the Israeli West Bank barrier.

"When people around the world who have watched the film see our demonstration and the conditions that provoked it, they will realize that the situations are identical," said Mohammed Khatib, one of the leading Palestinian organizers of the protest against the barrier.

Secret Papers on UFO Sightings

The minister in charge of domestic law enforcement and passports in Britain is used to close scrutiny. But the government figured it was worth an extra look when six witnesses swore they saw a UFO hovering over his house.

That was one of more 1,600 "unexplained aerial sightings" reported in the U.K. from 1994 to 2000 and described in more than 6,000 pages of formerly secret papers released today by the British Ministry of Defense.

The 1997 incident was taken seriously enough that the Royal Air Force began an immediate investigation of what witnesses, including two firefighters, reported as a large, triangular "humming" object seen over a house owned by then-Home Secretary Michael Howard.

The object was described as being much bigger than a plane, with lights around the outside and a disc on the back, fitting a classic description of UFOs reported around the world.

My Name is Khan Review

Music Directors: Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonca;
Lyricist: Niranjan Iyengar;
Singers: Rashid Khan, Adnan Sami, Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal, Suraj Jagan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Richa Sharma and Shafqat Amanat Ali;

My Name is Khan is a somewhat old concept movie which would have liked me if it was released in 2001-2006 as it has the back drop of 9/11 in it which is i think little bit old fashioned. Having said that the acting by especially Srk is too good. He has acted as an autistic person very well and he really deserves an award for his acting in MNIK. The movie revolves around religion and terrorism and although it conveys a good message but it failed to impress me. I would still rate 3 idiots more than MNIK.
